NALM: East Wins! Posted by: Acura2g on Tuesday, June 26, 2007
NALM (National Acura Legend Meet) is an orginzed group that sets up meets and has been doing so for the past three years.
According to a post on Acura-Legend.com this year there will be a meet on the east cost. Viewers casted their votes on Acura-Legend.com to which region they most wanted to hold the meet in and this time East Coast Won! Now that the decision as to which region has been set it is time to narrow down a location on the east coast where the meet can be held.
YOUR BID COUNTS!
"You can submit your proposal however you want, as long as it isn’t a post in this thread (or any other thread for that matter). We are looking for proposals to come in the form of email ( NALM2008@gmail.com ), word documents, PDFs, skywriting, whatever. If you prefer delivery by mail, email to the above address to get mailing addresses - You will be asked to send four sets of your mailed proposal to four different addresses (one to each of the board members)."
Bids are due by midnight EST on Wednesday August 1, 2007. Bids will be reviewed by the NALM Committee and the final selection will be announced on Sunday, September 1, 2007.

AcuraWorld.com Has New Owner Posted by: Acura2g on Sunday, June 24, 2007
In a release made by former owner: Sky (AKA: autoxCLS)
"Well - the time has come for me to hang up my hat, so to speak. After founding the site over 6 years ago, I decided to sell the site to a group of folks who run forums for a living. Forum Foundry, who owns quite a few other forums, has acquired Acuraworld.com and Acura-legend.com.
In the 6 years I've been privileged to work with the other Mods to run Acuraworld.com, and in the past year added Acura-legend.com, I think I've had a total of about 10 days where I haven't visited the forums or had to do some work related to them, so I'm looking forward to a break from the responsibility. Forum Foundry has asked me to stay on with them for at least the next few months. After that we'll play it by ear, so to speak.
All the existing moderators, who are the engine that keeps this car running, have been asked to stay on by the new management. Forum Foundry realizes this place is successful because of them, and indeed more because of you - the users. You are what makes this community work. They don't intend to change that formula. You will or already have noticed the things they intend to change - the visual look-and-feel of the site, adding more current news items, and adding more features you guys want or can use.
Thanks for the years. I'll be here, but not involved in the day-to-day management. If you were going to contact me about a forum issue, you may want to instead contact ekool, dascrow and El Calor. They respectively are John Gonzalez, Dan Kiehl and Doug Siddens and they are the makeup of Forum Foundry.
Welcome guys - this is a special place."
